From August 21st to 24th, the national finals of the 3rd Chinese Undergraduate Chemistry Experiment Innovation Design Competition was held in Xiamen University. Under the guidance of Miss. Gao Chunyan and Miss. Jia Junxian from the Department of Chemistry of the Basic College of SXAU, Sun Zheng, Li Xinfeng and Song Yafei, who are undergraduates majoring in applied chemistry with "In situ reduction of Cu(II) to synthesize Cu(I)--Synthesis of new cuprous complexes" won the national first prize with the entry named "In situ reduction of Cu(II) to synthesize Cu(I)--Synthesis of new cuprous complexes". And it is the best result achieved in the national college student subject competition since the establishment of our school's applied chemistry major.
The Chinese College Student Chemistry Experiment Innovation Design Competition is a national college student subject competition jointly sponsored by the Chinese Chemical Society and the National Demonstration Center for Experimental Education. As the largest university chemistry discipline competition in China, this competition attracted a total of 410 domestic universities and 908 teams to sign up for the competition. Since the students of our university won the first prize in the Northwest Division and entered the finals on June 26, they have actively and carefully prepared for the competition works together with their instructors. And finally they stood out among the 90 teams that entered the finals and achieved excellent results.
